Sometimes we get overwhelmed and need help navigating through challenging and stressful life situations. Therapy helps identify, evaluate and solve problems. I utilize a warm, interactive approach to treatment and incorporate empathy, nonjudgment, and honesty to create a comfortable environment. The foundation of this approach is a collaboration of a psychodynamic and person-centered approach, meaning you are seen as more than a set of symptoms or issues. We will work together to set goals, examine difficulties, and find realistic solutions that provide relief and clarity. Whether you are dealing with anger management, grief/loss, post-traumatic stress, adjustment/readjustment difficulties, addiction, depression, anxiety, couple conflict, or parenting struggles, I can guide you through your journey of growth, recovery, and change.
I have had the opportunity to live and travel to several countries worldwide, exposing me to different cultures and world views, allowing me to better understand clients from diverse cultures. When I’m not busy with my children, I enjoy reading nonfiction, painting, spending my time outdoors exploring the beautiful trails around the DMV area. I also enjoy traveling whenever I get a chance, the theater, and musical concerts.
