Welcome! I understand the great leap of courage it takes to pursue counseling and confront the parts of our lives and ourselves that leads to suffering. Pain, loss, and dysfunction are inevitable parts of the human experience; however, we also possess the resiliency to move beyond challenges and lead fulfilling lives.

Through positive psychology, attachment-focused, and strength-based interventions in therapy, individuals can move beyond current roadblocks to live more joy-filled, and meaningful lives.
My goal is that through therapy you will better understand yourself, cognitions, emotions, and strengths. I will provide the non-judgmental space and support for you to access and develop your innate tools to cope with present and future life stressors.

Counseling Approach:

I counsel from a holistic framework, encouraging self-compassion as the strongest tool for building resiliency. Our work together will be collaborative, working together to build a therapeutic relationship of trust and mutual understanding. I draw counseling techniques from person-centered and narrative
therapies, implementing interventions based in positive psychology, DBT, and attachment theory. These involve confronting difficult issues in our lives while also cultivating positive qualities such as mindfulness, self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal effectiveness. I offer the option to incorporate
spirituality into therapy as defined by the client and can counsel from a Biblical framework if desired.

About Me:

I have earned a master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus in Pastoral Integration from Marymount University. I have worked with teens and adults in both individual and group settings for 10+ years. I have experience working particularly with individuals coping with grief/loss.

Therapy has had a profound impact on my own life and has given me the tools to work through current life issues as well as manage challenges as they arise. Confronting the underlying thoughts that fueled my experience of anxiety and depression was crucial to overcoming these symptoms and learning to manage them. I have seen first-hand the power of a trustworthy therapeutic relationship, and the healing that occurs when we boldly look within.
